Celebrate 50 Years With Us

Please join Partners for Peace in celebrating 50 years of support, advocacy and education for people affected by domestic violence in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties.

We are hosting a special event on Friday, October 6, 2023, 5-8pm at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Purchase your tickets now!

We’re excited to share our accomplishments as Maine’s 1st domestic violence resource center and our vision for the next 50 years of inclusive programming and services.

  • The celebrations begin with a pre-dinner reception at 5pm with hors D’oeuvres and beverages along with music by Isabelle and Tyler.
  • During the reception, you will have an opportunity to view featured stories from Our Collective Story Project, learn about our newest efforts to build equity and inclusion in our core services, including our Pet-Friendly Shelter Program, and have fun having your photo taken as you walk the purple carpet.
  • We are pleased to have the one and only Emily Cain of Emily’s List as our host for the evening. The program begins at 6pm with a welcome from Partners for Peace Executive Director, Amanda Cost. Dinner is served at 6:30pm and we’re delighted to be hearing from some incredible speakers, including the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence Executive Director, Francine Garland Stark.

Help us celebrate the difference we have made over the past 50 years and learn where we plan to go in the future.
