Annual Meeting Honors Volunteers Who Take Action

Nearly 100 people came to Central Hall in Dover-Foxcroft for our 2019 Annual Meeting March 21st.

Keynote speaker Shawn Yardley, CEO of Community Concepts and President of Community Concepts Finance Corp spoke about the importance of taking action to end domestic violence and abuse. This year’s award recipients were Daniel Adam, Bangor High School Student, Olivia Baldacci, Bangor High School Student, John Keane, Principal of Piscataquis Community High School, all receiving the Hope for the Future Award, Dina Yacoubagha, Partners for Peace Volunteer, receiving the Michele Alexander Award, Ed French, of Catholic Charities of Maine, receiving the Dove Award, and Mayo Regional Hospital receiving the Partners in Change Award. Closing Speaker Bob Young, of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office closed out the evening with a charge for attendees to take action in their communities and beyond.
