Be A Light Gift Card Drive

As the days get shorter, you can be a light for survivors of domestic violence. Help the survivors and children in our Residential Program create happy and joyful memories together. We have several survivors and families in our shelter and transitional housing program who are in need. As you know, each year Partners for Peace matches sponsors with adult and child survivors of abuse to provide gifts to families during the holiday season. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of concern for the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and the survivors we serve, we have changed the format of our program.

We have launched our Be A Light Gift Card Drive. Together, with your help, we are collecting $5,000 in gift cards which we will distribute to the adults and children in our shelter and transitional housing programs.

Be A Light Holiday Giving |Goal: $3,000 | You can give the survivors in our program the gift of being able to do their own holiday shopping this year! We are collecting Amazon and Walmart gift cards so that every adult and child in our program can receive four $25 gift cards each. We also welcome donations of wrapping supplies.

  • 1 Child or Adult = Four $25 Gift Cards
  • Family of 3 = Twelve $25 Gift Cards
  • Family of 5 = Twenty $25 Gift Cards

We ask that gift cards for the holiday program be received by December 1st.

Be A Light Meal Giving | Goal: $2,000 | You can give the gift of happy and full bellies by donating Hannaford gift cards of any amount which we will distribute to families affected by abuse this winter. We will be collecting gift cards through the end of the calendar year.

All gift cards can be mailed to: PO Box 653, Bangor, ME 04402, RE: Be A Light

E-Gift Cards can be emailed to donations@partnersforpeaceme.org.

All donors will receive a commemorative Be A Light Magnet in the mail as a thank you.
