Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month

National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month

Did you know that 1 in 3 teens experience dating violence by the time they turn eighteen? And of those affected, 2 out of 3 young people do not seek help while they are experiencing abusive tactics in their relationship. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month, spotlighting youth-inspired and coordinated activities designed to promote healthy relationships and awareness about teen dating violence. Check out our Teen Teen Dating Violence Resource Kit 2022 for ideas on how YOU can get involved.

If you are a young person experiencing violence or abuse in your relationship or home, please call our 24-hour helpline at 1-800-863-9909. It’s confidential and we are here for you. In the meantime, feel free to check out our “For Youth” Page.

If you are an educator or a professional engaging frequently with youth, we encourage you to become familiar with our prevention programming and consider scheduling a presentation and calling for consultation.

If you have any questions about Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month or any of our prevention programming, please contact Daniel Perkins at dperkins@partnersforpeaceme.org or call 207-945-5102.
